A Challenge
Have you ever asked yourself during dinner how are the rest of the people in your building spending this time? What about your whole region? What about your country? What about the whole world..

How many of them could assure food for his children? Suppose you are challenged to spend 24 hours as a homeless person. Is it that odd? Let's picture it; you will sleep on the ground, in the cold night air, whatever the temperature. You may survive - you may not.

You will be hungry, or crave a cigarette or a cup of coffee - or death, - anything to easy your misery. And you just look at those people walking so fast like they can't even look at you in this shape.

Let's picture you need a medicine for your youngest daughter but you can't afford you're getting out of the pharmacy when we see a man with his many bundles he knows you well and know you need this small amount of money in order to save your child's life but he wouldn't share it with you, you wonder why? He will not part with his bundles because they are his life, his good memories.

In this country, who is to blame for the shameful neglect of our poor, the mentally ill, the old, the sick? Who is to blame for those unfortunates wandering the streets with no place to lay their heads? They are hungry. They eat out of garbage cans. Sometimes they are encrusted with filth. In different circumstances this person could have been your manager your neighbor or your dearest friend.

Who is responsible for the endless misery of those people?

Is it government? Yes.

Is it the wealthy? Yes.

Is it the clergy? Yes.

Is it the ordinary citizen who turns away in distress or irritation? Yes.

Today you are challenged to walk for a day in the shoes of a homeless man. Tomorrow you will be challenged to face God and endure your punishment. - If you would stand before God unafraid, put right these wrongs.
